    Founder and Former Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector

    Paul “The Taxman” Bettencourt founded Bettencourt Tax Advisors in 2009 after serving as Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector from 1998 to 2008. His background in property tax administration, public service, appraisal district processes, and taxpayer service helps inform BTA’s evidence-based approach to appraisal review and protest support.

    Paul continues to support BTA’s strategic direction, team training, and property tax consulting approach.
